No date was ever given and many said it would never happen, but APR is proud to release our K04 upgrade kit for transversely mounted VWs. Our kit includes the K04 turbo, compressor inlet o-ring, four turbo outlet studs, turbo manifold gasket, 4 bar fuel pressure regulator and retard turbo gasket. This kit is a simple turbo swap that makes a big difference in the power output of the car. This kit makes solid gains in horsepower and torque. With no mods other than an exhaust, the kit produced 242 hp / 268 lb-ft on 91 octane gas and 245 hp / 275 lb-ft on 93 octane gas. is not necessary. The kit includes software.
